Abstract

|
The serological tests for syphilis (VDRL slide microflocculation test and modified Kolmer-Wassermann test) were performed for the 553 prostitutes living in Pusan (Yung Do area, 429, Song Do area, 124). And the following results were obtained.
1. Serological tests for syphilis were positive by VDRL slide test in 25.68 percent, and modified Kolmer-Wassermann test in 22.06 percent of the prostitutes, respectively.
2. The comparative results of sero-positive of syphilis in 1966 was. higher than in 1965 (See:Table 4 and Figure 1).
